Going to be getting my hands on a 3020 soon and im wantimg to experiment with this idea. However, could someone give me a guide as to what needs to be done to execute this project? Also, how would you go about configuring the switches?

what about for a mr3040?
i want to have the same button change through multiple modes.
for example, one click for one mode, two for another, three for a different one, etc.
i saw megal0's link for how to configure the hardware button,
and all i saw was a single quick click,
or a single long quick.
i want to have several clicks.
any ideas?

I'm sure it's possible to cycle through modes. Don't have the time to check myself at the moment. I'll get there.
On the same topic, look! It's the MR3040 V2.0. They've changed one thing. Can you guess what it is?

I thought I was going to take a while to get around to it, but I ended up doing this the day the connector arrived

Made a bit of a boo boo, the SMA connector is female. So are antennae. So I cut a small piece of core from some RF cable and wedged the rough edge into the connector and filed the other side.
My MiniPwner now sports a 5dbi antenna, and even without the antenna the wireless reception doesn't suffer too much. Still perfectly usable within a room.
Now, if only I had the V2 with the mode switch...
