I see the pineapple (hak5.org/hack/auto-rickrolling-wifi-pineapple) uses dnsmasq to spoof dns entries.
Any chance of including it ?

What do people think about pineapple vs minpwner. Seems to me minipwner is more powerful.

You can easily add packages...connect the MiniPwner to your cable router via an Ethernet so it gets a DHCP address and a path to the internet, log into it (by connecting to the TLINK access point and SSH to 192.168.50.1, or by figuring out what DHCP address it got on the wired interface and SSHing into that), run "opkg update", then "opkg install packagename.

That being said, I logged into mine just now and typed opkg install dnsmasq
and it responded dnsmasq (2.59-2) installed in root is up to date, so it is already installed. I'm guessing it is required for one of the other packages my setup script installs.

Pineapple V. MiniPwner - good question
They are both running OpenWrt so they should have basically the same capabilities. The TPLink router does not have an external antenna, I'm guessing you could add one with some soldering but I haven't looked into to. Also the Pineapple is already set up for WiFi interception and has a GUI interface and scripts in place to make it easy. None of that stuff is set up on the MiniPwner but the configurations and scripts used by the Pineapple should be able to be used on the MiniPwner as well.

I think the TPLink router draws less power (battery will last longer) , is more portable, and supports Wireless N, which as far as I can tell the Pineapple currently does not.

Another note vs. the pineapple is that this has usb.

Not only does that give us extra space but with a usb hub we can add a 3g modem in there and have the whole package together without any need for a laptop.

Working on some karma scripts just now and will update once I have them worked out like the pineapple is.

You have to put a custom firmware on that has hostapd-karma compiled into it. You can get it from this thread:
www.minipwner.com/index.php/forum/5-mini...wnload-now-available

note you the modified hostapd, not karma, to use karma on OpenWrt.
