TOPIC: ipkg

ipkg 5 years, 1 month ago #1018

hello all,

while attempting to use the minipwner for some MITM testing, i have been trying to get opkg installed as a part of that process. i have found that the manager is no longer supported and/or operable.

i have looked into installing ipkg instead.

since opkg is no longer active, im sure some of you have found a way to run through this tutorial anyway:

techuff.com/demo/Hacks/minipwner.html

additionally, I was wondering what the downfall would be to flashing the firmware to the most updated version of OpenWRT, and will I lose any hidden features, services or functionality.

any help is appreciated.

Wait What? opkg works fine as far as I know, in fact its what the minipwner build script uses to install all of the packages.

What is the error you are seeing trying to install opkg?

Is this from the latest OpenWrt daily build? We've seen some problems with the daily builds from time to time.
Look in the forum for the DerbyCon build instructions to use an older build that seemed very stable.
