I finally got my TP-Link MR 3040 running as MiniPwner.

Thanks to the recent fixes in OpenWrt this device is now supported and can be set up as MiniPwner following the "Build One" steps.

This piece of hardware has the advantage that it already includes a 2000mAh Battery in a sleek housing.

Everything works just as described:

BusyBox v1.19.4 (2012-07-16 05:30:14 MSK) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

I tried to delete the 1.7MB file in rm /tmp/opkg-lists/ and run the commands again of step 27 but it is still out of space du -sh at / shows 16.6M Any advice?

Yeah I agree that's a better solution. I went the route I did because it seemed simpler and I wanted the setup process to be as straightforward for newbees as possible. Though with all the extra little hacks that are needed to install and run software from /mnt/usb it probably ends up being a wash.
